Operational Overview

Combating loneliness, neglect, and chronic health decline among aging elders in Ranchi (Jharkhand). Providing an active daytime community center with recreational therapy, reading libraries, wholesome midday meals, and regular geriatric medical attention.

The Challenge On Ground

Destitute and lonely senior citizens face social isolation, untreated chronic ailments, joint disorders, and malnutrition with no daytime caregiver support.

Ground Execution & Operating Protocol

1 Daily active day care center with reading room, indoor games, and social companionship.

2 Routine blood pressure, blood glucose, and mobility screening by visiting geriatric doctors.

3 Hot, freshly cooked nutritious midday meals and afternoon herbal tea.

4 Distribution of seasonal warm clothing, woollen blankets, and walking aids.

5 Doorstep nutrition hampers for bedridden elders unable to visit the center.
